			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;ve been struggling for the last couple days in writing a personal essay for an application. While looking into my own past I decided to explore a family legend. We&#8217;ve long been told that our grandfather had something to do with the invention of Styrofoam. Quick Google searches didn&#8217;t quite do justice to the family legend, indicating that somebody named <a href="http://inventors.about.com/library/inventors/blpolystyrene.htm">Ray McIntire</a> beat the elder Stober to the punch.</p>
<p>After following a series of footnotes however, I stumbled across this:<br />
