Two years ago I upgraded my old laptop to 2GB of memory – an upgrade that cost $300. I was curious if that memory would be compatible with my current laptop – which only has 1GB of memory. I checked out crucial.com and found out that, yes, in fact, the memory I purchased for my old laptop was the same spec as the memory my current laptop takes.

I also found out that the memory upgrade that I paid $300 for two years ago costs $25.99 today.
