The department recognized me with the  2008 Outstanding Teaching Assistant award at the holiday party yesterday. I was originally not even planning on attending, since I was scheduled to give my final presentation for Formal Verification and Semantics (topic: probabilistic model checking). I was a teaching assistant (and lab guru) for Autonomous Robotics.

Luckily the final presentations were rescheduled and I was able to accept the award in person. It’s always nice to be recognized. Especially when the award came as a complete surprise.
