		<description>M&#039;s vote was decided by this poor pick of a vp candidate.  I&#039;m writing this Tuesday night, morning your time, so I don&#039;t know if there was surprise upset.  But both M and I thought that a pick like Condi Rice, would have guaranteed McCain the election.

Was she approached and declined?  Will we ever know?  What actually was McCain&#039;s thought process when he picked Palin?  It&#039;s that decision making process that turned M off.  Especially given McCain age and past cancer history.  I had no answer to this argument.

You don&#039;t have to shore up your conservative base, when you are running to the right of a left liberal candidate, you need to pick off the moderates who might go left ... Duh !
