I try to avoid blogging about politics, though in other contexts I’m fairly opinionated concerning political issues.
His VP pick may be a throwaway pick designed entirely to manipulate demographics, or she could be a substantive political and policy force. I don’t know.
I just wanted to mention that less than 24 hours after possibly the greatest sequence of convention speeches in a generation, the media has shifted coverage of the McCain campaign right to the top of the headlines.
After this masterful stroke of media manipulation, I’m starting to consider the possibility that the Democrats could lose the White House again in November. Just saying.
UPDATE: Since I’ve opened the door to politics I might as well mention how fascinating I find this tendency for Republicans to both own and disown the Bush years at their whim and convenience.
