So I’ve switched to Gmail’s new IMAP option, away from POP. I realized that I was spending too much time organizing my mail in Thunderbird, to not have those organizational changes reflected in my actual Gmail inbox. With IMAP, I get the best of both worlds, a single application to manage all my email accounts, and the benefit of Gmail search and sorting when I need it.
