Gogol Bordello is much more than schtick; live shows from the Hütz-fronted gypsy punks are the things of legend. “For people who have an actual background in gypsy culture,” Hütz says, “it’s much more sacred fire than fashion and trend-chasing, and that basically outlines our attitude about it. Our thing was about preserving the fire of that music and extremizing that fire.”
Yeah, it was a pretty good show.
